Murrieta is a located in southwestern Riverside County. The population in the 2000 census was 44,282. However, population was estimated to be 97,257 in 2007, making it one of the fastest growing cities in the state. Largely residential, Murrieta is a family community with many of its residents driving to jobs in San Diego and Orange counties, and the neighboring city of Temecula.
Murrieta is bordered by Temecula to the South and unincorporated areas on all other sides. Overall, Murrieta offers some of the finest education, safest communties, and quality of living in Southern California.
